Chairman of the Society Historian Indonesia Apex Edy Winarno said based on reports it receives from a study, there were about 40 chairs around the stone Terjan Site.
"However, of the 40 seats that rock, now number only two pieces only. These findings become something of concern," he said.
Nevertheless, continued Edy, it has not dared to conclude whether the stone seats are stolen locals.
"Only, we did not dismiss, the damage remains megalithic stones were damaged, among others, allegedly induced the visitors. Especially in areas distant settlements were very minimal supervision," he said.
Moreover, he added, natural factors believed to contribute to accelerate weathering. "We just hope that local residents care for the existence of the site, because it includes the world's cultural heritage. Therefore, there were four megalithic sites in Indonesia," he said.
Terjan addition, he said, there are also relics of megalithic sites in Pasemah, South Sumatra, Cave Made in Parepare Jombang and South Sulawesi. "But specifically on the Site Terjan, believed to be a relic of the most complete," he said.
To reduce the risk of more severe damage, the village chief Abdul Hadi Terjan recently gathered eight mines operating businesses in the area of local villages.
"From that meeting, they agreed not to conduct mining activities on the 100-meter radius from the center of the site," he said.
